One of the most known beaches of the Island, it arises from a laver at the feet of Monaco Mountain, on the side-lines of the little peninsula that closes the Castellammare Gulf. The village was built at the surrounding of the Sanctuary-Fortress dedicated to San Vito. Its territory, in addition to the suggestive beach (very crowded in August), includes less known but not less interested sites as Castelluzzo and Macari. Moreover, in the Municipality of San Vito lo Capo you can find the Gipsy Nature Reserve, that can be visited by walking. The city also hosts the Cous Cous Fest and, recently, also the big event "Tempu ri Capuna".
